Lutia is a london based videographer and storyteller whose international background – a childhood spent in rio de janiero, andalucia, and somerset – figures strongly within her passion for understanding differing perspectives and schools of thought. With keen attention to political paintings at an early age she looked onto other digital mediums to convey narrative with more impact.
Attending University in Bristol her films largely took interest around environmental and humanitarian issues. After graduating with First Class Honours from Filmmaking in Bristol her graduation film ‘Beauty Of A Stateless Mind’ gained wide recognition on the film festival circuit having won the NAHEMI award at Encounters, selected for national geographic’s short film showcase and winning two awards at the Imperial War Museum Film Festival.
In 2017 Lutia moved to the Caribbean where she has been working as an Editor. She went on to be the Co-Director and Editor of a 4 Part Documentary Series about Geopolitics. This series was live on pbs early 2018.
Lutia is constantly looking for more opportunities and adventures that will utiliser her determination and desire to contribute to awareness of greater issues within the environmental and social landscape.
